Pokhara News. A person has died and another was injured in a paragliding accident in Pokhara on Monday.
The deceased has been identified as Raju Gaire Nepali, 38 of Pokhara-28, currently living at Lakeside, said police. He was the pilot of the paraglider. Critically injured paragliding pilot Gaire died in course of treatment at Metro City Hospital, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police at Gandaki Province Police Office, Rajendra Babu Regmi.
Similarly, the health condition of the injured passenger—Shila Shrestha, 28, of Budhanilkantha municipality-2, Kathmandu, is reported to be critical. She has been referred to Kathmandu for further treatment.
The accident took place some 1.2 kms away from the landing spot. Police have been carrying out investigation into the incident, added Regmi.
